Best Fastest Car In The World

July 28 2018

Apollo Intensa Emozione -- 769bhp, 208mph

The Apollo had us 'Batmobile-inspired styling'. Then it kept on winning us over with its 769bhp Ferrari-derived V12 and purist inspirations. The IE is designed for monitor work only, but when all ten get sold, it'll fund a road car that'll hopefully look at least half as bonkers. That is what supercars are about, right?

Jeep Trackhawk -- 707bhp, 180mph

Remember that the Dodge Demon out of a few slides past? The madder, badder Hellcat? Course you do. Now imagine the amount of horrid light beer consumed with the individual who developed the notion of slotting the 707bhp version of said supercharged V8 to the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This, not the Lamborghini Urus, is the most powerful SUV of 2017. 'Murica one, Italy, nil

Dodge Demon -- 840bhp, 168mph

The first road-certified mill car to be officially effective at wheelies (or wheelstands, we assume ) is your Dodge Hellcat's more evil, quarter-mile-munching twin. It's a drag-race monster having an 840bhp supercharged V8 heart, although that sub-170mph top speed is the cheapest in this record, the Demon's ability to launch from 0-60mph at a verifiable 2.3 seconds is as impressive as it's barmy. A worthy addition to the annals of muscle car legend.

Hennessey Exorcist -- 1,000bhp, n/a miles

Obviously, Texan horsepower fetishist John Hennessey couldn't let Dodge enjoy the spoils of war for extended without devoting his own unleaded-swilling riposte -- using a cheeky name to boot. The Exorcist isalso, as you can see, according to a Camaro ZL1 (or even the more monitor focused 1LE, if you prefer), and, ahem, trumps the Dodge option by creating 1,000bhp. The best speed is so much unknown, but since the 0-60mph time is sub 3sec, we believe you'll agree it deserves a place among 2017's very unhinged performance automobiles.

Hennessey Venom F5 -- 1600bhp (claimed), 290mph (promised )

Hennessey's back , and he's heading for 300mph. The Venom F5, successor to the car that hit 270mph and established Hennessey as a player in the top speed supercar match, is called after F5 category storms, which have a windspeed rating of around 318mph. Can the Texan underdog take it into the might of the VW Group, and Koenigsegg? 2017's show of the new Venom was the opening shot of round two. Place your bets...

Tesla Roadster -- n/a bhp, 250mph (claimed)

Making no noise whatsoever, on the other hand, is Tesla's first entrance into the supercar bear-pit. That's fine though -- Twitter and internet forums create more than enough sound to compensate for the silence of electrical motors. In the event the new Roadster actually does see the light of day, we're promised a 620-mile selection, functionality to embarrass a Bugatti, and all for a relatively reasonable $200,000. It might be a utopian supercar. All Tesla must do is bring it to market in time.
